New community: Freifunk Stuttgart e.V.

Freifunk Stuttgart e.V. (AS208772), a local Freifunk community in Stuttgart, was recently connected to Community-IX in Frankfurt. Welcome to Community-IX!

The connection has been made from our main location in Frankfurt, Weißmüllerstr. 19, to Hanauer Landstr. 302. This is not an official Community-IX location, but we have the sponsors Dr.-Ing. Nepustil & Co. GmbH and ISP Service eG, for a switch, rackspace and power here. Those sponsors also made it possible for Freifunk Stuttgart to connect to Frankfurt.

About Dr.-Ing. Nepustil & Co. GmbH: They are a small regional ISP in southern Germany, around Stuttgart, Tübingen and Reutlingen. Nepustil operates in small datacenters in each city and run a fiber network between those locations.

About ISP Service eG: They are a buyers cooperative for small ISPs. ISP Service eG manages carrier contracts and related services with approx. 10 members all over Germany. They are also the legal umbrella for the Stuttgart-IX.
